It is definitely not a tourist destination, unless you have family in the town and want to visit. It is a good place to live and raise a family if you want most of what a BIG city has to offer without the crime the BIG city brings with it.

I live here now and am rather pleased with the town. We have a nice size theater, roller skating rink, minature golf, frisbee golf, many parks, lots of restraunts (nice and cheap ones), public and private schools, a small mall with all the big name stores incorporated, Target, WaLmart, and just about anything else you can think of. There is not actual Starbucks but we have a nice little knock off.

It is overall a quite town with a very low crime rate compared to the bigger cities, with most of the same ammenities.

This is the town in which I live. We like it but it is hardly a tourist attraction. We do have a nice zoo, some historical buildings and a few interesting headstones. We are known as the crossroads city since we are roughly in-between Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi.

...I wouldn’t want to visit here. I lived in Victoria for almost ten years and enjoyed that time, but I can’t think of a reason anyone would want to make a tourist destination.

It sucks but it is growing I’d say wait a couple years and it will be like San Antonio!! we are getting a lot of new things and there is plenty of room to expand!
