Scoop Du Jour Ice Creamery

Their tropical sorbet is delicious!! Great on a sunny day like today. We ate it while walking our dog around Madison Park and near the beach where we sat down to contemplate Washington Lake :)

Now here’s a place that reminds you of an old fashioned ice cream parlor; not a real old ice cream parlor but something more common back in, say, the 1970s. Situated amongst the knick-knack shops and pseudo-trendy restaurants of up-scale Madison Park, Scoop Du Jour serves up the cold stuff the traditional way. They may not make their own product, but the small-town ambiance is all their own. The only thing I don’t like about it are the three TVs which are always on.

In addition to ice cream, you can also get yourself a really basic BLT, burger, or hot dog. Floats, sundaes, and, gasp! espresso are also available. Just a block from popular Madison Park playground and the “beach” on Lake Washington. Bring the kids.
