How this place changed my life
Colorado School of Mines… CSM… my alma mater.
So many fond memories of Mines (but also a quiet a few painful ones, it’s not an easy school…)
Of course I’m a bit biased but I would highly recommend Colorado School of Mines to anyone pursuing an engineering degree. Great education, great small school culture, great professors, and great preparation. Also, cheap tuition compared to most other good (and even bad) engineering schools. It was recently named the “best value” in the Princeton Review. Plus, employers love you, and show it in salary offers! ;)
I graduated from here in May 2007 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

A graduate of the school once told me...
Four years ago I couldn’t spell engineer, now I are one.
And you say the g like the g in gold, so it’s en-gih-neer.

Good solid foundation in Engineering
It’s a good small school so they won’t let you fail.
Everyone knows how well educated you are when you leave CSM so you’ll have a job.
Plus it’s a short walk to the Coor’s tasting room for free beer.

Mines is an excellent school, it’s very hard to get through, but if you enjoy math and science and want to be an engineer, this school will prepare you better than most others in the region! They also work their tails off to get you placed in a job, the only way you could not get a good job out of college here is if you sat on your butt and did nothing to try to get a job…
