Battery Park

of a dancing monkey & cat,along the Battery Park Esplanade.

There was a man dressed like a robot following us around, and a guy who would make up songs about your name and introduce you to all the people around you.

It was a bit strange, but pretty funny.

I used to work in Battery Park.

Sitting in the park is ..or used to be…very relaxing..grab some lunch..walk near the water..check out the Financial District and watch the people jet off to work in the mornings..

The day we visited, there was a Pagan Pride fest. I lugged cans of dog food all the way from Colorado to donate to the anumal rescue.
The view of Lady Liberty, even at this distance, was enough to make a landlocked gal like me weepy.

It’s a great place to relax, read a book, sit and watch boats, etc. It’s a nice place to just walk around too if you’re feeling so inclined.
