Serafina

Was on my first date with my (now) husband. Very romantic dining on the back patio. We go there almost every anniversary and he gets to tell me the story of how I was 20 minutes late and he was scared I had stood him up. Lucky for me he waited!

Jan Kritzer and her lovely daughters introduced Alex and I to Serafina. I believe we all went there right after we told them we were engaged, so there was much cooing and smiling. The atmosphere was just right and the food was excellent.

Go on a night when they have live music- go early, sit in the bar, have an aparatif, get a table near the music but perhaps not right in front of it, makes convo hard- but makes other kinds of communication necessary, fun and enjoyable. ;)

Divine food- scrumptous wine list- and leave room for dessert to round out the fun you and your date are having.

Live jazz on the weekends, good bartender, excellent food, cozy atmosphere. This is one of my favorite Seattle restaurants ever.
