How this place changed my life
by far my favorite beach in the hole world so far! it has been compared to Greek beaches, and the mediterranean sceene!
it is definetly a great place for vacation, fun or just relaxing with the ocean waves, also a good place for scubba diving and fish observing!

A review of this place: Off the radar screen
San Carlos is a perfect combination of decent amenities and nowhere-ness… This Sonoran town, located just north of the port city of Guaymas, is a great spot for a getaway if you’re looking for some cool desert scenery, nice Sea of Cortez views, and a few decent bars and restaurants. This isn’t PV or Cancun, you won’t find jello shots and parasailing… but it’s a great little town for simply hanging out.
The photo above is similar to the view from the Marinaterra Hotel (approx USD 80/night), overlooking the small harbor. The rock in the background is called Tetakawi, and is one of the most dramatic views I’ve ever enjoyed from a hotel room. In the morning, the rising suns rays illuminate the rock face; in the evening, the rock is silhouetted against the sunset. It’s pretty damn nice.
There are several other decent hotels in the area, but none have the view you get at the Marinaterra. Also within walking distance are a number of decent restaurants (I like Blackie’s for dinner, and Rosa’s Cantina for breakfast).
