And we got to meet Dave Eggers. over 6 years agoUntitled by onenineteeneat the burritos. just do it. over 6 years agoUntitled by NedRaggettThe food. SO many great places to eat, it’s almost not funny. I should create entries for all of them as I can. My sis used to live just off of Cesar Chavez down from Valencia a bit so I got to know the Mission reasonably well, and I always loved it. over 6 years agoGood for travellers, not tourists by JenniferTravellers, versus tourists? Tourists don’t like the stink, the crowds, the prostitutes and homeless people, the noise and the people standing around in very suspicious ways. They are afraid of the police presence, the graffiti, the barrage of other languages being spoken. They would never dare set foot in the hole-in-the-wall restaurants. Travellers dig the huge variety of food (as Mazi said, everything from expensive to “on a dime” food), the thrift and used book stores, the bars, the life in this neighborhood. I always suggest to anyone visiting this city, who has even a modicum of adventure in their spirits, to come to the Mission. It’s a special place, and it’s worth an afternoon and/or evening of your time. over 7 years agoSee all 7 entries |
