Oh yeah, Titusville has something for everyone. If you´re into shopping, we have a great Wal-Mart in a convient location. If you´re a sports fanatic, we have several baseball and football fields around, or you can launch your boats and jetskis from “redneck beach.” Fine Dining? Dixie Crossroads is a great place, and always worth the 2 hour wait to get in. Into art and culture? Every so often at Fox Lake park, you can hear some of the best Bluegrass music south of the Georgia border. Yeah, this is really a hoppin´ place to visit, and an even better place to come from.

Titusville is not an amazing place, and it is not a place that is on many people’s to do list. What is nice about it is that it is 45 minutes from Orlando, 40 minutes from Daytona Beach, 30 minutes from Cocoa Beach, 45 minutes from Melbourne, and within 4 hours of Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa/St. Pete. So, if you want to visit a lot of Florida, it is a good ‘spring board.’ Places to check out while in town are Sunrise Bakery as well as Cafe Chocolat, both downtown. If you are interesting in viewing a Shuttle or satellite launch, be sure to be early, and make sure you don’t mind staying a few days because of frequent launch reschedules. It has no night life, and you must have a car to natigate, as is true with all of Florida. Check out Canaveral National Seashore just north of town for a great look at wildlife and an undeveloped beach, an experience that makes you question the viability and morality of coastal development. The longer I am away, the more the Space Coast seems so amazing and unique, I hope you feel the same when you go.

The only thing worth visiting in this area is Kennedy Space Center. So make sure you take a detour to avoid driving through Titusville. I have been all over the world but never in such a bad place as this. Oh and the people, well if you think you have seen it all, do take a visit here! And make sure you try the nightlife then, hope you make it home alive!
