Bohemian Hall aka: Beer Hall

I spent longer on the subway than in the beer garden, and go there so late we were inside. The food was…well I was hungry, so it probably seemed better than it really was, the beer was great, it was a little loud to here what people were saying. I think I will go back in a few weeks for someone’s birthday and actually go to the beer garden. Oh and the upstairs bit is really weird, it’s this old office where the bathrooms now are.

Wonderful for late summer evenings, lots of good beer and friends and semi-drunken phone calls (given and received). What photos I have are pre-digital camera and I’m not sure where they are anyway, but suffice to say: well worth a visit in a heap, and if on your own, strike up a friendship at the bar, at least!

I never knew this palce was called Bohemian Hall. I knew it as the Beer Garden. It’s great to go there on summer evenings and hang out drinking Czech beer. It’s wiered to see little kids running around as everybody is getting trashed, but that’s what we’re like in Astoria.
