Martins Ferry by kindakwerky
I am currently living here. While I usually live where my husband is stationed- he’s on his 2nd trip to Korea and families aren’t able to go there. So I moved near my parents for the remainder of his 2nd Korean tour.
Historically, Martins Ferry was the first town to be settled in Ohio. Other than that, there isn’t a whole lot going for it! :)
It’s very tiny. It’s located on the Ohio River, just minutes from the West Virginian (I was born in WV) border.
The town is completely obsessed with their High School Sports teams. Their colors are purple and white- and several local businesses paint their shops in those colors. The house I moved into had it’s bathrooms in those colors. Many people’s back-yard sheds are purple and white. It’s a bit much.
