My sister lives here and I can never wait to visit her! over 5 years agoI grew up in Shreveport/Bossier by jasonlammonsI love these places, my heart was formed there. over 6 years agoBossier City, LA (Shreveport, LA) Barksdale AFB by MichalynWe are stationed here in Bossier City, at Barksdale AFB. Bossier City is right next to Shreveport, LA, in the NW corner of the state of Louisiana. Shreveport is considered the “armpit” of Louisiana. Can’t say I’d argue…. but it isn’t THAT bad, I guess. We are only 3 hours from Dallas, which is kind of nice. The weather is hot and muggy most of the time. Lots and lots of bugs. The two cities are divided by the Red River. There are lots of hunting and fishing opportunities, as well as watercraft opportunities, if you are into those kind of things. We would love to have a boat… Schools aren’t that great, thankfully we were able to get a home in a good school district. over 6 years ago |
