Chonburi

Difficult to decide whether this place is actually worth visiting as there is not much to do here. The sea is not very welcoming as all the waste from Bankok washes up here – only go swimming with your clothes on!! However, as Chonburi is not really on any tourist route it is a great place to immerse yourself in Thai culture. Likewise, it is a good base for travelling to other parts of Thailand. You’re about 1 hr from Bankok and islands suck as Ko Samet are close at hand – and they are beautiful.
