Watertown

I was stationed in Ft. Drum, the miliary post near Watertown, and though I cannot say I would go back to live, or to visit because there was so much to do (there wasnt anything to do)…I would go back just to visit the great friends who are locals there that after all these years I still keep in touch with.

Its not exactly a tourist destination though, that I promise you.

Watertown is the hub of society in farm country. Most of the counties around here have more cows than people so a town that has more than one grocery store and even a mall, is definately worth visiting.

I was born in Watertown NY and while I have spent most of my life outside of town…it is still home to me.It is clean with very little crime and a decent place to visit.There are some tourist attractions in the area but most of them are north and west of here.We do get alot of lake effect snow off from Lake Ontario….but you get used to it.We are probley best known for being the place where movie and TV star Richard Greico was born ….. as was Viggo Mortensen of the Lord Of The Rings Series.

Watertown, is not worth looking at at all. There is nothing great except a walmart and a small mall. The closest nice thing would be the thousand islands which are 1/2 hour away.
