Abaco

It was really wonderful how the different groups on Guana Key would come together every night at a meeting place for dinner!

The Abacos are a beautiful collection of islands in the Bahamas. One of the best places to go and just relax without all the fuss and confusion of Nassau or Freeport. The islands are quite remote and very interesting to tour, although small. I reccommend renting a boat so taht you can “island hop!”

I’ve sailed the Abacos four times and would love to go back. I love the diversity there.

The people are kind, the scenery amazing, the rum punch delicious

We loved our visit. Billy, who was three at the time, helped some locals collect live Conch from the water. We did some swimming and even had a Conch-lovers pizza at Pizza Hut ($27 dollars – 10 years ago).

It was very hot!
