A tip I have about this place
AVOID THE QUEUE TIP…
It’s pricey but there are many sites selling discount tickets. I would not suggest paying regular price. However, if you buy a tickets online from any other site than London Dungeon proper site it will not be entitled to queue jumping (in other words, it will not be a fast track ticket). For a fast track, you need to pay a higher price. However, the way to get around this is to go EARLY and plan to be there at opening time.
We learned this the hard way as we purchased £9 tickets in advance with our mate Rob who came in from Guildford (Surrey) to spend a day with us. Well, we spent too long at the pub and then tried heading over about 2ish to the Dungeon. Wow, what a queue!!! Then, we discovered our tickets didn’t entitle us to fast track! We realised that we couldn’t wait as we also had tickets to a West End show for that evening and the queue was looking 3+ hours long. So, we had to miss it.
However, Mark and I went back EARLY in the morning later that week and the queue was about 30 minutes! It was so worth it.

A review of this place: London Dungeon is fantastic compared to Edinburgh Dungeon!
I will happily give London Dungeon RAVE reviews which is a far sight better than my Edinburgh Dungeon review
The London dungeon has it all… educational, creepy, good actors, cool gift shop! Mark and I were scared to try it after the horror of Edinburgh dungeon but we gave it a shot based on our mate Rob wanting to. We were pleased and suprised! The Dungeon was awesome and had two proper rides inside. The ride at the end is a new edition drop where you are getting hung LOL. It was so cool! Loved it and would do again!

A review of this place: Pricey but worth it..
I only go if i have money off vouchers as it is expensive, At the Dungeons, the ticket office charges £16.95 (adult) and £12.95 (child).
Then on The London Dungeon web site they advertise a 30% online discount but start the prices at £19.50 and £16.95 respectively. So yes, there is a discount but not 30% off. I actually think not many people pay the full price.
I didn’t notice many couples or small groups – most were large parties of teenagers. The Dungeons seems to be most popular with European teenagers.
From when you walk in off the street, everything is dark – even before you reach the ticket counter. The staff let you enter in groups of about 20 people as there are performances to see on the way, held in small rooms.
The whole ‘tour’ takes about 1.5 hours. You are moved on with your group but you are not rushed and we had no idea how long it had taken to go all the way through.
The first room doesn’t have actors but is full of exhibits to start getting you scared. There were even live rats (in a display cabinet) – if you’d prefer not to see the rats (some people have phobias) avoid the corner opposite the bubbling cauldron.
From here the ‘show’ starts and actors tell you stories and interact with their audience. Each actor and his ‘set’ gives you a glimpse of London history. You will learn about The Great Plague of 1665 and The Great Fire of London in 1666 (which killed off the rats that had carried the plague), as well as Sweeney Todd and Jack The Ripper.
You might not be expecting this from such a scary attraction, although laughter is a good way to deal with being frightened, but you will laugh so much here. My friends and I were running around screaming like children and we are not teenagers! You get totally wrapped up in the experience (I think the darkness helps) and you can forget to act like a grown-up for a while.
My highlights = Boat Ride To Hell, and sweeny todds salon…
Would I recommend The London Dungeon? I think yes, if you are not paying full price. If you’ve got a group of friends together and you feel like being silly for a few hours then go for it.
