on Broadway actually across the street from the neighborhood. It was real new age-y and hippie back then. Very dark in some ways; it was before the era of social networking. No one had a cell phone or e-mail address; there was no instant messaging, etc. Everything either happened face to face in real time, on the phone or not at all. There was no “checking in” with anyone about anything. I was in this neighborhood with my alkie friend Jim when I found out O.J. shot Nicole. Those were good times!!

I lovelove the shops, the crowds, everything about this street is lovely.
