Why Paradise, then? If you think that black sand is mud, just watch those people playing cricket. See; the ball is bouncing. That’s sand!

What about that little island with a thing on it? At really low tide it’s not an island but try to let your children wade to it when it is. If the tide looks too full and you have to wait, they can walk round by the beach edge beyond it and find an old harbour, now set back from the sea.

As for the fossils that are supposed to be found near the car park that look like toasting forks, that’s a matter of being lucky with your timing – but there’s one of them on my mantelpiece!
