Through city by-laws they try to keep the natural vegetation from being cut down to make this place live up to its name “Coconut Grove”.

The Grove is awesome. There are so many obvious things to see, so I won’t list them all. Do be sure to check out “Out of Africa”, though. It’s a great little store.

I only spent two days here, but I absolutely loved it. Stayed at the Mayfair – fantastic hotel, exceptionally polite and accommodating staff, hot tubs on balconies – and thought Johnny Rockets, a retro burger bar, was an awesome find. Coco Walk is nifty for some casual shopping and a fantastic venue for a calm – even romantic – night out.

I went to high school and lived in the heart of the Grove in the 80’s. I understand it was pretty cool in the 70’s, but it’s pretty well yuppified by now. :(

Great side walk cafes, little shops and a few great clubs. Was here New Year’s 1999/2000 with some of my closest friends.

“I'll be here for 2 days and staying at the Doubletree Hotel Coco Grove. Any recommendations on what to see in a short period of time?”
