Check the time that you go – make sure it is winter or summer season depending on what you want to do. I went in between and there was pretty much nothing to see.

I had so much fun in Kiruna! I went in December, & it was 30 degrees below, and I froze my tushie off. I went cross-country skiing, dog sledding, ate reindeer, saw the ice hotel, and made out with a Canadian guy. It was awesome! The ice hotel was the coolest thing; I wish I could have stayed there! The only thing I was disappointed over was that I missed seeing the Northern Lights because ti was overcast.

Kiruna was the first city I’ve stayed in Sweden and it was beautiful. I stayed there during the middle of April and it was quite chilly and snowy but definitely worth the trip. The town is very nice and everyone was extremely friendly. I had no problems in the stores or with food. It was nice to travel without going to a city and the views were wonderful. I even managed to see a bit of the Northern Lights from just standing outside in town. It was great!
