We did an in depth study of this place. Despite being a ruin it displays many good examples of Norman, Middle Age and Tudor architecture. So if your a bit of a history boff it will be fun. It also have some interesting history including a tragic love story which involves adultery and suicide and Mary I later to be dubbed ‘Bloody Mary’ spent a lot of time at the castle. It is mentioned repeatedly on the TV program ‘The Tudors’. And Henry VIII brothers heart was also buried here— lovely.
