One of my better dates was here. We walked down to see this the weekend before fourth of july and ended up being fortunate enough to see fireworks from the various other towns around. Very magical over 5 years agonice and scary by alieqI’ve seen this a couple of times. The first time it scared me because I kept associating it with a cartoon episode (thundercats) I watched as a kid about a rock formation coming alive to destroy things. The second time I was able to look at it more and see how good it was made. But it’s still scary. It’s one of the things that makes it worth seeing! over 5 years agoPretty cool by yakuzaThis is a sculpture by J. Seward Johnson Jr. It was installed on Hains Point for the International Sculpture Conference Exhibition in 1980. It’s a tourist attraction right on the southern most tip of Hains Point, and people will often sit on the face or the left hand for the picture. I have to dig my picture up. Or take another one… over 6 years ago |
