Leigh On Sea

I JUST MOVE IN FROM SHETLAND AND IN FEW WEEKS,I WILL BE IN PANAMA-BOCAS DEL TORO

My parents live in a nearby town, so I’ve spent a little time wandering about in Leigh.

I think it’s a really picturesque little place. When I visit, we enjoy going to one of the pubs on the waterfront for sundowners. It’s pretty with the sun fading over the water and silhouttes of boats bobbing…

...and lots of that in Leigh. It’s nicer than Southend – a little less chavtastic, more traditional and historical. It’s actually a nice place to live near, if you can cope with the proximity of everywhere else in Essex.

Leigh is a pleasant town with loads of views over the Thames Estuary, loads of artists, cafes, bars, a relaxed and cosmopolitan lifestyle.

Also, the best bakery in the world.
