Memories of this by Nakeisha

I travelled with two Australian guys up Cabot Trail. We saw many huge moose, and walked along the water. It was cold enough for toques, but no one was around and it was gorgeous.

It’s amazing! It’s so beautiful, and everyone there is so friendly… it’s also fun going to local Ceilidhs.

One of my dearest online friends..is from this area. He is a photography guru, but doesn’t realize it..anyone who can take pictures of a place and make a person yearn to see it in real life has got a gift. Lovely paths, waterfalls, and beach scenes! He has shown me some of the most beautiful spots in the world through film..if you were to get lost in Cape Brenton, I can say the waterfalls alone will make it worth it! Yummmy, it is a dream I will make reality someday…

w00t I live here by gbs

Hey,

I’ve lived here all my life and I love it. I am really into the celtic music and the land here(camping, hiking, traveling, ect.) so that makes it easyer for me. Some of my friends say it’s too boring here but they really don’t go out and do things so don’t listen to them! Anyway come here you’ll love it and don’t forget to go to a local bar/pub or concert and listen to the fantastic music. WARNING: We talk fast and don’t use proper english so listen carfully cuase you might get it mixed up with something totaly different and one last thing, if someone calls ya “buddy” there not calling you a guy or anything, they just don’t know your name and want your attention.

Thanks for reading,

Megan

My ENTIRE family is from Cape Breton. My older brother and I are the only “Main landers” in the family. And that’s including cousins, etc. So yes, we’ve been there more then a few times. Gets boring after a while, but if it’s new to you then definitley fun.

Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada by HighlandAmy

I like it because there are lots of MacLeods (like me,)and every one can correctly pronouce and spell my last name on the first try. It’s also very pretty. I went into some cole mines that are no longer in use, one of which included a garden – inside the mine!! That was pretty awesome

God's country by Debbi

Each time I’m in sight of the causeway that crosses from the mainland of Nova Scotia to the island of Cape Breton I feel so happy. I know that soon I will be in the one place where I feel so alive. I love the people, the scenery…..everything about CB really!

Oh how I love it here... by itsmekristi

A lot of my family is from Cape Breton, so I have gotten to visit the family ‘farm’ a few times. It seems to be every 5 years though (oddly, it’s never planned that way) so this summer if I keep up with this random trend I should be there again!
