the old neighborhood by csw
I worked in South Lake Union for a few years, until the company exiled us to Georgetown. And I do feel like I was exiled. I had become strangely fond of the place; it’s low-key and full of unusual old buildings, cool little places like Kapow! and Cafe Venus, and shares borders with and views of Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, downtown, Eastlake, Westlake, and Belltown. There may not quite be so much there there, but it grows on you. Check it out so you can say you saw it before it was turned all the way into the Paul Allen Biotech Theme Park.
