Pie Town

I just came back from New Mexico and am happy to report that I enjoyed pie and coffee at The Daily Pie in Pie Town. The menu, aka the Pie Chart, included pecan, peach crumb, apple, New Mexico apple (that’s apple with green chile) and 3 or 4 other pies. The people were very friendly. The old Baptist church and the “hotel” from the Russell Lee Farm Security Administration photos are still standing.

of the Great Divide route. I sponsored a mile near Pie Town and I want to ride my bicycle over that mile. Besides, with a name like Pie Town I know what I’ll do once I get there – eat pie.
