Drank coffee in both coffee shops, and had excellent greasy pub food. I think this is the only small town I’ve ever been to, that I could live in. over 4 years agoUntitled by larkabeeHawg Wild BBQ, near the Davidson River Campground — Best barbeque EVER. It was the first time I ever tasted the Eastern NC, vinegar-based variety, and I am now a huge fan. If you’re a hiker, don’t miss the trail to Looking Glass Rock. Strenuous, but a view at the top that’s worth it. About 2.5-3 miles each way.
