A review of this place: Hate Makes For Bad Food

The cheesesteak at Pat’s King of Steaks was better. I came up to Philly on two separate road trips just to try each of these competitors, and Pat’s definitely was the winner. The meat is tastier/better quality and the roll is much better. This was a unanimous vote of 4 hungry people!
We also all found their loudmouth redneck politics to be extremely distateful. They are supposed to be a historic landmark in their city, but they don’t want any foreign language speaking tourists coming near their establishment. It’s closed-minded and bad for business.

:( Wish I'd read some of these entries before I went here...

The cheesesteak was fine, about the same as Pat’s, not really my thing but far better than the cheesesteaks in NYC, but I got so angry about the “speak english” signs, and even more so something that had posted up about hanging iranians that it left a very bitter aftertaste in my mouth. Ick!

A review of this place: not good anymore

Genos used to be good. Like when i was 10. I the last time i ate there was 4 years ago, and it wasn’t that great. Jim’s steaks or Pats steaks is better now… and it kinda sux that is really is that. Plus geno’s kind of pisses me off with its political crap or whatever. when ordering you mush speak english? i had a friend who was deaf-mute, and they wont let her order because she points to the menu?? very dumb. they should shut up and make better steaks, because that might be why they aren’t as great as they were 7 years ago.

A review of this place: Overrated

You can get cheesesteaks of this “quality”/authenticity anywhere in Philadelphia or its suburbs.

Terrible Politics, Amazing Cheesesteaks.

Oh, Gino’s.
You know from the anti-Mumia posters and the “This is America—speak English” sign above the ordering booth that these people lean far to the right.

And yet, the cheesesteaks… SO GOOD.
