Hazleton

Well Hazleton Hazleton, I don’t mind Hazleton too much, however..if you have never been there..It is not a vacation spot..! There really is nothing to do in the city itself. Some of its surrounding areas can be awesome if you like the outdoors and know the “secret” spots. Like cliff diving in swimming holes off the sides of waterfalls and nice places to paintball or snow tube. They are all a bit of a drive from Hazleton and really nothing a visitor can figure out on his or her own. The city itself has a very high crime rate and it is viewed as very scary but I feel safe walking around. Thats just me tho I guess. In hte summer therre is a fab festival call Rockin the Block hosted by 2 local churches that is awesome. They have a web site called rockintheblock.org but it is in desperate need of an update! Hope this helps.

I lived in Hazleton for 26 long years, grew up, made friends and finally escaped. I can’t imagine anyone who has actually lived there ever recommending visiting there.

It’s a run down town with far too much crime considering it isn’t a big city. Drugs are bad, the school system is bad, there isn’t a thing to do unless you find driving up and down Broad Street fun.

I want to go to hazelton mainly because my best friend from when I was like 4, till like second grade. haven’t seen her for like, 8 years though.
i miss her.

with my mom, who grew up there and wanted to see her old house again… it was kind of creepy and the town had gotten rather run down when we were there, about 10 years ago I guess. But it was cool to see my mom revisit her past.

Back when I was a wee one. Don’t remember much about, it, but I’d like to go back. I don’t remember anything bad about the town either, so I guess it’s worth visiting.
