Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens
Great escape in the middle of Wolfville and Acadia University. Great way to see several Acadian Forest habittas in one area. Come back often as there’s always something new in bloom!!

Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens
A lovely and unique botanical garden to visit. If you’re not in the area you can take a virtual tour online http://botanicalgardens.acadiau.ca There’s also some great info on plant conservation and native plants on the website. Happy gardening and happy surfing!

I’m sure it’s changed since I was there three or four years ago. It was a very nice walk with many different kinds of plants to see.

Botanical Gardens
One of the most peaceful and beautiful places in Wolfville is within the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens at Acadia University. It is filled with all sorts of plants from around the world and is divided into different native habitats from the Acadian Forest Region. There are paths that go throughout the gardens and a stream, fountains, a pond, a bog, a walled garden and a range of medicinal plants. There are signs throughout explaining the plants and habitats, but you can also just go there and walk around and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
I like to go take pictures sometimes and other times I’ll just walk around and sit and think.
