Friendly staff, nice rooms: we were on the fourth floor with a two-room suite, that is, one bedroom and a living space with a fold-out couch. Full-size fridge, kitchenette and dishes in that room and the other room we used as an ‘office’ which was a bit bigger. Right next to Powell’s Books (best book store ever!) and at least two video game hangouts, Backspace and Ground Kontrol. Everything downtown is walking distance. Though it was located in what is affectionately known as Vaseline Alley and could get noisy outside at times with the revelry, the air-conditioned rooms were a nice relief from the mid-summer heat.

Interesting rooms, and right in a very cool area of Portland. More later as we test out the junior suites.
