The bay street mall is kind of nice if you’re looking for that Southern-California-esque glitzy strip mall feel and lots of expensive stuff, and there’s good electronics stores everywhere…. but really, nothing else. Oh, there’s Pixar, but it’s not like you can go there on friday night and catch the latest in-dev movie. Well, maybe since my friend works there… So it’s worth visiting if you want chain stores, chain restaurants, and chain movie theathers. It’s all prepackaged goodness. over 7 years agoUntitled by catamorphismI wish I could check off “Not worth visiting” 500 times. Emeryville is one of the worst places ever. Don’t go to Ikea if you don’t want furniture that will fall apart within a month, and don’t go to Trader Joe’s, because you should be buying your groceries at Berkeley Bowl instead. And what else is there in Emeryville? over 7 years agoHome to Pixar, Chiron, Peet's Coffee and my studio. by kevoIt’s a pretty commercial place, but there are a few of us residents here who like living just east of San Francisco (better parking). over 7 years ago |
