Found the nicest little bakery/sweet shop called Just Add Sugar. Highly recommend it!

The New York Times wrote a review just yesterday. The slide show gives a pretty good idea of what the area looks like and the article does have information about what goes on in this town.

Moved up here in 2004, from NYC, quiet, clean, safe, not as cheap as I thought it would be but not as expensive as Midtown NYC, hit a deer within the first 3 months, trying to make ends meet with a HUGE pay cut, but I won’t go back (unless they’re talking 6 – 7 figures).
Come up and see us sometime.

Nice place if your ready to retire, uninspiring to grow up here.

LOVE antiques
enjoy eating (restaurant everywhere you turn)
open minded (it’s been reported that Milford is one of the gayest places in the Northeast)
like to drive 45 minutes to do anything
don’t mind watching movies in a ‘vintage’ theater with a falling ceiling called the ‘the Milf’ (the ‘ord’ is out on the sign)
are cashing in on your 401k
get excited over Super Wal*Mart and Price Chopper…since that is the biggest news around here
appreciate our ‘historic heritage’ of a Native American Massacre
hitting a deer at speeds of 45-50 mph sounds like fun
