Worth visiting!

This was a fantastic experience. It was a long drive in, as they are currently expanding the road and doing lots of construction but the scenery along the way was beautiful and it was well worth it. There are over 40 pandas at the center and 9 new cubs born just this year, including a set of twins! They are so small when they are born that it’s hard to imagine they would grow to be so big.

I got my picture taken with a 1-year old panda named Wei Wei who was kept happy with slices of apple. If I ever got a significant amount of time off from work, I would think about volunteering at the center. I saw a lot of volunteers while I was there and they all seemed to be having a great time.
