Where the forest meets the sea
I had dreamed of going to this place for years because of two things. One was a book we all read as kids called ‘Where the forest meets the sea’ where the author made 3-D textured pictures to illustrate it. The other was a poster that said ‘Where reef meets rainforest’ with the most amazing of photos on it.
Coming here didn’t ruin my romantic image of it by bringing it into reality because it really was beautiful. I have been to jungle in the amazon and borneo, and despite the lack of cute monkeys, it really is among the most beautiful.

Butterflies!
This was the first place I ever visited a butterfly farm (or whatever it is called). It was fun. I really enjoyed Daintree even though I was just passing through. Beautiful country. Worth making a World Heritage Site.
