Lewes

I basically grew up here. Amazing place. Amazing sights. Amazing people.

Lewes, from what I remember is a quaint and cute little town. There are some nice little shops, and a few ice cream places.

Lewes (sounds like Lewis) is my favorite Southern Delaware town. It’s also one of the oldest. The streets are lined with well-preserved - and hideously expensive - old homes, a few dating back to the early 18th century. My father-in-law grew up here, as did his father, and his father, etc.

The town has grown more upscale over the last decade and has probably reached trendy status, however, it’s not yet in the same league as Cape May, NJ, it’s soul mate just a ferry ride across the mouth of Delaware Bay.
