Why I recommend this place to locals
Great music. Always a good playlist. I’m not a huge record store fan, but they hooked me. It’s tres hipster, but overlooking that, it’s an institution and I like their coffee. And their servers are always nice, if a bit perfunctory in that diner-sort-of-way and you really wouldn’t want it any other way, would you?

A tip I have about this place
If going for breakfast, get there early and bring a small group. There isn’t a ton of seating and they aren’t equipped to handle large groups of people. Lydia is the greatest server EVER, even in the face of a group of ten people trying to get seated.
The food is cheap, plentiful, and tasty – this is not haute cuisine, it is diner food. Best dishes: Frances Farmer French Toast (w/scrambled eggs) and the Revered Horton Heat Hash.
Parking is available in lots behind the building, and do take some time to wander around and check out the records.
