A review of this place: "Redneck Vegas"
does not do this place justice. It’s worse than that, if possible. My husband and I decided to elope here last year on 7/7/7 and it was even crazier than we expected. We could have walked faster than the pace of the traffic. The other tourists seemed to be straight out of the hills and the attractions weren’t very attractive. We enjoyed a nice little “backdoor” ceremony after lunch at a little chapel near the clerk’s office and decided we’d probably need to start heading home right after to crawl out of the city before dark.
It was fun on a whim, but not somewhere I’d spend too much time.

well my wife and i just got back from a 3 nights stay in pigeon forge. i recommend renting a cabin instead of a hotel. it makes the experience much more enjoyable. although we didnt see too many shows there is tons to do and if you want to go to gatlinburg its only 5 miles away. i definitely recommend the ripleys aquarium.

A review of this place
Having grown up in Tennessee, I’ve been to (really through) Pigeon Forge many times. Trust me, you don’t want to go. There are several shows, but mainly bad ones, and lots of tourist businesses, but again mostly bad ones. The one redeeming quality is they have a “trolley” system that rides from Sevierville to Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg. If you decide to go, visit Gatlinburg instead because it’s situated in the Smoky Mountains and, although as cheesy now as Pigeon Forge, has some quaint and kitschy German-inspired architecture. However, the main attraction to any of these tourist towns should be the Smoky Mountains National Park – lots of beautiful trails and flora.

The last time I went to this place
I was married here, so it will always be a magical location for me and my family. We stayed at a nice hotel with a lazy river ride (but it was dec. so it was closed) which I thought was a neat idea. I would love to go back some day!
