i dated my sister's future husband here. by itsmckay

once upon a time i met a guy who boxed groceries at the local Gelson’s Market in Corona del Mar. i was working at the Guild Drug. we did our summer jobs at night and played at the beach during the day. he would walk over to the Guild to buy gum and talk with me. i never figured out that it was just to talk with me…he later reminded me that they had plenty of gum for sale at his grocery store.

we dated all summer, with some dates being at Angel Stadium. one night we were seated right behind the dugout. i got a great close up of Nolan Ryan. good times.

Mostly, I know the parking lot by NedRaggett

For a simple reason — Anaheim’s train station is locating in the parking lot. Odd but true (handy for people going to the games, obviously). I actually like the atmosphere when there’s no game around, it’s all very calm - not that I hang out there for hours on end, I have my limits. ;)

Angels vs. Twins tonight! by Dustin

This ballpark is a little older, but no one would guess it. The stadium is beautifully renovated and one of the nicest I’ve visited.

I saw an Angeles game way back in the day, I think 1997 here, but more recently, I watched USA V. Japan in the World Baseball Classic. I was amazed at how nice the place has been renovated in recent years and how comfortable it is. Plus, the view was not bad for being an older ballpark (not too old, but not part of the new era of parks where everything is really close).
