Somewhere Over The Rainbow

I love rainbows they look so pretty…I can’t remember the last I saw one…:P

This song was almost left out of the movie “The Wizard of OZ” because at the time the producers thought it slowed down the pace of the film. Lucky for us they had the good sense to chang their minds.

My dad was college roommates with the son of Yip Harburg (the guy who wrote this, “April in Paris”, and “Brother Can You Spare a Dime”). He didn’t pass along any trade secrets about how to get there, but still…

Tonight, in spite of good news (getting a part time job!) some difficult things occurred and I just want to curl up in a corner in a beautiful room in OZ.
