Taupo

I was there in July 2006 and had the opportunity to skydive at 12,000 ft. A must if you visit Taupo

I spent a week here, doing kayaking (float trip), fishing and biking. The drive there from western part of North Island was beautiful, the ride was kinda scary when we got onto the narrow roads up in the mountains. Definitely had wonderful moments there with friends, and despite the bad experience with YHA there, I enjoyed my trip very much!

So go there! Have many companys to do skydive!!!
A little bit expansive but very nice!!!
You can do snowboard there have a station close too.
The lake Taupo look like a sea!
