international fountain
We spotted this fountain from the top of the Space Needle, so we decided to check if out afterwards. It looks like a fun place to go to on a very hot day (there were a bunch of people playing in this fountain).
The water squirting out of the dome is choreographed with music. In between performances, the water would stop squirting and start again unexpectedly. We weren’t dressed to get wet, but we couldn’t resist running down to the dome to touch it before the water show started again. None of us got wet, but touching the water coming off the dome was very refreshing!

The first time I went to this place
My first visit, Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” was blasting thru the fountain speakers. It was a pretty cool thing.
I love going here to watch all the little kids running to and from the water. It reminds me of kids at the beach running towards the ocean water and then running away when the waves roll in. Its also cute to see how the smaller kids mock the bigger kids.

I took this picture at the Bite of Seattle. If I would have included the fountain, it was to the left, everyone’s direction of attention.

If you're at the center, then check it out!
The fountain is worth a stop. I wouldn’t go to the center just to see the fountain, but if you’re at the center for any reason then you should stop and check out the fountain. Of course if you got your bathing suit or kids, and it’s a nice day, then you can bump this up a notch on your “must see while in Seattle” list. The kids have a great time running through and playing on the fountain, and it can give you a chance just to take in the scenery and rest your feet before heading out to the next goal on your list.
