AH-1 Huey Cobra Helicopter

At first it’s not as striking to look at this Huey, the other one is up in the air, which is very dramatic to stand near.

I saw the UH-1M from the road and that’s why I turned in, which was the intent of the parks creators as they wanted the choppers brought in to “lure” people into the park and it worked for me.

This one, the AH-1, is just as striking as the “in flight” UH-1M. To me it’s because you can see the pilots inside easier. You realize this big machine has only 2 people inside, one to pilot, one to fire weapons. If something happens to either pilor or gunner, the chopper is done for.

I’m glad I took the time to check out Heck Park, it really opens your eyes to that war and what it meant for the people that were in it.
