The last time I went to this place
I wish I’d let my dad take my picture in front of anything in this town, but I was far too angsty to pose in front of the Roslyn mural, therefore the picture we have is of a stranger posing there.

A tip I have about this place
Roslyn isn’t too far away from Seattle, a nice scenic drive for about an hour and a half. Along the way you can visit Snoqualmie Falls amongst other places. Peruse the Washington state page here on 43 Places and/or pick up a travel book for Washington state (free at AAA if you have a membership, or you might be able to find one at the library). A wonderful little day trip! :)

Small, somewhat rundown logging town. Has some charm and would make a nice, quick stop to see the place Northern Exposure was filmed.

The Brick Tavern
The Brick is awesome!
For some reason, the running waterstream spitoon is amusing to me. It’s gross, but cool.
There are jars and glasses ontop of the bar. If you can throw a quarter into one, you get a free drink.
Very cool!

I’m fairly indifferent about this little town in Washington. I was driving through here because I wanted to explore breweries in WA. Knowing full well there wasn’t anything here EXCEPT for the brewery, I wasn’t disappointed. The beer was good! But that’s about all that Roslyn has for right now. Its biggest claim to fame was being the backdrop for the show Northern Exposure.
