A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

The paté is delicious, even if like me you’re not really into liver, and they have a fabulous Vacqueyras that is infinitely drinkable. I love this place and must try the Poulet Rôti soon.

A rumor about this place  — 2 years ago

I heard a new branch of Le Pichet is headed for 12th Avenue on Capitol/First Hill. With a new Le Pichet, La Spiga, Cafe Stellina, & Licorous joining Crave and Lark on 12th, one heck of a restaraunt row is in the works.

I’ve been wanting to go here for ages… and it was completely worth it. A very decadent lunch of eggs in a lobster sauce, baguettes, wine, and a delicious coffee ice cream. I think I’m going to have to go back for the drunken chicken…

I miss Le Pichet. More precisely I miss the monthly francophone dinners with me francophone friends at the pichet.

I like that you could convince yourself that you’re in Paris when you’re inside the Pichet. Mirror-lined walls provide ample opportunities to check anyone out in the restaurant without being super obviouis. And get the chicken- it takes extra long but it’s extra good. Miam! Miam! My mouth waters just thinking aobut it.

Wine menu kicks butt too- on the pricier side but hey, it’s french wine and you’re in Seattle.

The secret to this place is that it’s just really tasty. Even the water tastes good. They have the best cheese plate this side of France, and their meat plate is wacky and delicious as well. Once, I ordered a bowl of almonds and even that was good. Go here, and go here often!

French, quiet, simple  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I had a nice breakfast here this past weekend. The Pike Place Market was bustling and I felt like a little quiet time. I’ve heard of Le Pichet for years, but it was a nice find. A great indicator of good food for me is the quality and presentation of tea. Great black breakfast tea served in simple white cup w/ saucer, milk on the side and sugar cubes in a bowl.
