Gardens are the highlight

After visiting the gardens on their own last year I wanted to see the whole museum now. It was nice but I still think the gardens are the best part. In the museum I most enjoyed seeing Camille Claudel’s work and “The kiss” (which can also be seen in bronze in the Tuileries across the entrance of the l’Orangerie btw)

One of my favourite Paris museums

Definitely pay the entrance for the gardens as well – they’re just as interesting as the house. I’d also advise people to do a bit of reading about Rodin and his sculptures before visiting – I couldn’t take my eyes off “Burghers of Calais” but it was only afterwards that I found out the story behind the sculpture.

Gardens

The gardens of the musée Rodin are the best part of the museum and the entrance fee for just the gardens is one euro. The gardens include a flower garden, the rose garden and the sculpture garden, which includes his most famous works including Le Penseur (the Thinker).

Shhh, but I like the Rodin Museum better than the Louvre.

A tip I have about this place

Go here when you’re starting to get worn out from your travels. You can go through the museum and then sit in the gardens and relax a bit. It’s better than just staying in your hotel room for the day.
