Stanford University

A friend took me here when I first moved to the bay area. The campus is large and every building has beautiful architecture.

and pretty in the springtime (and most of the year, really), and people are smart, and there are all these wonderful professors, and San Francisco is less than an hour away, and there are so many things to do on-campus… but that doesn’t mean this is the right school for everyone (I don’t know that it was the right one for me!). The truth is, it doesn’t matter all that much where you go to school as long as you feel you can be happy there; Stanford will not make you a better person than you were before. Really. I promise. So think long and hard, and visit campus (sometime other than Admit Weekend if you want to see the real deal) and talk to real students about it before you decide. Heck, ask me if you want! But don’t assume that Stanford is better than School X because the rankings say so.

aagh i guess it’s worth just going there to take a look…it’s a nice campus, but dun think it’s a nice to study there….
