As expected, waves crash on the wide beaches not uncommon to this region of Australia but Rainbow Beach has this timeless quality to it.

Consider the quaint little beach side establishments that are perched just right to provide a view of the area without encroaching on it and this place seems to be a dream.

Helps too that it’s not touristy. Like a little known beach hideout. But of course, locals flock there.

The sand is black beneath the top coat and that makes interesting opportunities for people who love to doodle. Don’t forget the stunning rainbow colored rocks that make the cliffs afar seem so surreal.
