I need to stop calling this place Kenowhere. For a city of its size and location, it has a lot for a tourist to do.
During the summer, there is the lakefront. On days that aren’t so nice you can check out a couple of free museums.
The Kenosha Public Museum is a superior natural history museum that showcases Kenosha’s specific natural history. It seamlessly transitions into the human history of Kenosha. Entry? Free.
A few blocks and a quick trolley ride away is the Dinosaur Discovery Museum which is also free. It shows how dinosaurs evolved into birds. Both museums have plenty of kid friendly activities.
I wouldn’t fly cross country for this, but it’s worth a half to full day if you’re in the neighborhood.
