A tip I have about this place  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

For those of you who remember ‘Noodles’ in Fremont, this is the same owner. Skip the front restaurant…head back to Ku Fung Wu, the bar…

They have great cocktails and there’s a better ambiance back there. Service at this place is a crapshoot front or back, but the food is pretty good, the sampler appetizer is great fun.

On Wednesdays a great jazz pianist named John often plays with varying accompaniment. Excellent spot for ad hoc Wed. night out!

Kava cocktails!  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

The food was good enough, but the cocktails came with warning labels! And, there are some where you won’t be served more than one. Kava (which I had) and yohimbe are the two I remember; there were others.

Oh the ambiance  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

The food is not exciting, and certainly not the best Thai in Seattle. But the ambiance and the Fu Kun Wu bar are well worth visiting! Poke around for the Opium Den and the defunct smoking room; sexy layouts and great details. Try an herbal cocktail or any cocktail as the bartender is one of the best in the city.
