I used to live in this town  — 1 year ago

And though the highschools are full of the usualy amount of drama queens, pot heads and jocks. I absolutely love this town. The summer is the best time, if You are wanting to visit, try and go during waterfestival. I miss it there everyday.

Its small and very quaint. Go on a nice day and get some ice cream and walk along the water.

Hang out on Bay St. in the morning, go shopping for toys and antiques.

Make your own perfume and soaps… buy vintage silver jewelry, take a lot of pics.

swing on a bench swing overlooking the bay with someone you love in the waterfront park

then go to beach in the late afternoon…

come back that night, have seafood for dinner, watch a live band

    dance

    be happy

Born & Raised in Beaufort  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

I love Beaufort, through and through. I lived there for 23 years (up until August 2005).

It’s one of the most beautiful places in the world. Young people don’t like it because there “is nothing to do” but really there’s tons to do! Spring and Summer are fabulous. Beach, sandbars, boating, fishing, the waterfront park. Beaufort probably has some of the best restaurants a town can offer… especially for it’s small size. Almost any restaurant downtown is delicious and there are several wonderful restaurants around town.

Although it’s small, it has a lot to offer.

Gorgeous. I miss it so much.
It’s my favorite place in the world.

Lived here for a year  — 2 years ago

    Not worth it!

Me and my family lived in Beaufort for a year when I was in the 5th grade. It’s a pretty boring place to live. After a year, we really wanted to go back to our hometown in Columbia. If you are looking to go on a weekend beach trip in SC and are tired of Myrtle Beach this might be a good place to check out. The beaches and condo’s are nice.

I’ve spent a long time here until moving out West. A lot of history, yet can be exteremely humid and hot (it feels worse than the amazon) in the summer. The town has grown a lot since the mid-90s when some military recruiting bases closed. Beaufort has an air station for the Marines and is home for the Eastern United States Recruit Depot (Marines).

Old colonial city. There are British soldiers from the Revolutionary War buried in the Episcopal churchyard where my parents attend church here.

    Great seafood as well.
